This tool utilizes a complex multi-stage processing technology to accurately remove digital noise and JPEG artifacts from images.
Another modification of that technology, called "Nova Sharpen", allows sharpening of blurry images producing an amazing crispness never possible to achieve using standard techniques. Cleanerzoomer uses Nova Sharpen after an image has been enlarged to achieve an absolutely crisp and naturally-looking zoomed picture.
The additional Auto-balance instrument of Cleanerzoomer is able to balance colour, levels and gamma of the image greatly increasing its realism.

This program was built to bridge the gap between the incredibly easy but limited \"one-click\" solutions and the incredibly complex but high-quality methods of DVD ripping and backup. Another advantage of DVD-RB when compared to older methods is that it doesn\"t require access to an expensive authoring package. DVD-RB includes its own reauthoring engine that reconstructs the DVD in a way compatible with its original design. Over the course of the past couple of years DVD ripping techniques have changed dramatically. Newer \"one click\" programs have made backing up a DVD a fairly simple process... but there is a significant trade-off. The quality that can be attained by even the best of these programs is poor in comparison to original techniques that used Cinemacraft Encoder, TMPGEnc, or other top-notch encoders. The reason is simple. When using one of these encoders the picture is rebuilt from scratch and optimized for the resulting bit rate. One-touch transcoders usually change quantization and/or motion info in order to lower the bit rate. This can result in pixelation and poor overall picture. Changes in Version 1.09: - NEW FEATURE: Support for closed captions. Now DVD-RB will extract closed caption data from the original DVD and remultiplex it into the MPEG stream during REBUILD. Note that, although this new code has been tested, it is new and therefore should be considered beta for this version. For that reason it can only be enabled by adding the \"hidden\" setting \"CLOSED_CAPTIONS=1\" to the [Options] area of the REBUILDER.INI file. WARNING: Many software players do NOT play CC correctly. Please do not post bug reports unless you first also try to play the original disc with the software player (e.g. PowerDVD 6.0 seems to have problems with certain CC). ENHANCEMENT: Added code to enhance the functioning of automatic \"no reencoding\" feature introduced in v1.08. Now any space reallocated due to \"Steal Space\" or the \"Half/Half\" functions that is not needed to enable the \"no reencoding\" extraction is returned to the Extras.
